AZERBAIJAN BEAT SAN MARINO 5-1 IN FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFYING ROUND

Azerbaijan have thrashed San Marino 5-1 in the FIFA World Cup qualifying round Group C match in Baku.

Azerbaijan scored five goals in a game for the first time in their history, which equaled record margin of victory as they beat Liechtenstein 4-0 in 1999.

Azerbaijan`s goals came from Afran Ismayilov in the 20th and 57th minutes, Аraz Abdullayev in the 25th minute, Cevoli in the 71st minute (own goal), and Rashad Sadygov in the 81st minute.

Mirko Palazzi grabbed San Marino`s only goal in the 74th minute.
